Darren Sammy, the West Indies captain, is an affable guy. He doesn't shy away from asking, "Why aren't any girls asking me questions" or praising Jesus Christ during press conferences.
Sammy once said: "I have utmost faith in Jesus Christ. He did nothing wrong and yet he was crucified. So I am prepared. Ever since I made my debut I have always been under pressure."
Sammy is truly a character. And the all-rounder made many fans in India when West Indies toured two years back. He didn't shy away from a challenge.
Though West Indies lost the series 0-1, they had a fair shot at winning both in Delhi and Mumbai until the final sessions on the final day, though they did receive a pounding here at Eden Gardens in the second Test.
Sammy breezed into the dressing room (through the Club House) on Tuesday like he was just another person. There were hardly any journalists or onlookers paying him much attention.
In and out of the dressing room, he later interacted briefly with the fans and told them about his native island, St Lucia. He even told them about his love for Indian food. Sammy then strode back to address the press.

Sammy will very soon go down in history as the last captain to plot Tendulkar's dismissal.
