Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag impressed with Indian U-19 cricket team pacers

Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag were impressed by the pace of Indian U-19 cricket team pace duo of Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi, who had consistently been clocking more than 145 kilometres per hour in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup game vs Australia.

Sourav Ganguly has complimented youngsters Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi for their impressive outings against Australia U-19 in the first game of the ongoing U-19 World Cup and urged the likes of Virat Kohli and the authorities concerned to keep an eye on the pace duo.

Nagarkoti finished with figures of 3/29 as India pulled off a 100-run win over Australia to kick-start their campaign no the right note.

However, what caught everyone’s attention was the fact that Nagarkoti and Mavi (3/45) were both clocking more than 145 km/h consistently.

Leading the pack was former Indian cricket team skipper Sourav Ganguly, who is a part of the ICC commentary panel in New Zealand.

Ganguly was so impressed with the youngsters clocking such speeds at such a young age, he even went ahead and tagged current India skipper Virat Kohli, VVS Laxman and the BCCI in his post.

Among other former cricketers to praise the U-19 pace duo were Virender Sehwag and former New Zealand pacer and current commentator Danny Morrison.

After registering a 100-run win over Australia, the Indian U-19 cricket team will take on Papua New Guinea tomorrow before they play Zimbabwe on January 19, 2018.
