"Cricket Australia's National Selection Panel today announced South Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait has been added as a standby player to the Australian squad for tomorrow's fifth and final Commonwealth Bank Series clash against Pakistan to be played at the WACA," CA said in statement.

Tait will join the current squad of 13 tomorrow morning as fellow pacer Siddle, who is still suffering from back soreness, is in doubt for the match. Tait last played a one-dayer in February 2009 against New Zealand.

"Peter Siddle is still being troubled the back pain which kept him out of the third match of the series in Adelaide. As such he is in doubt for tomorrow's fifth ODI and therefore another fast bowler has been included as a standby player," Australian team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said.

"Peter will continue to be monitored over the next week before any decision is made on his availability for the KFC Twenty20 International in Melbourne next Friday," NSP Chairman Andrew Hilditch said.
