The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will have its 80th annual general meeting in Mumbai on Thursday. And with no elections scheduled, the only sparks expected are if Lalit Modi and N. Srinivasan stay on collision course. BCCI officials have been talking of the personality clash between the Board’s two most visible officials and it will be interesting to see how they sort out a couple of very tricky issues on the meeting’s agenda.
The first one would be the BCCI’s stand on how to go about the International Management Group (IMG) issue vis-a-vis the Indian Premier League (IPL). The other point could be to determine who represents the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA).
The IPL committee has cancelled the IMG deal worth Rs 33 crore annually but as this raised a lot of noise, the BCCI working committee empowered president Shashank Manohar to take a final call.
“He is expected to rule on this at the AGM,” said a board member.
“It’s going to be the most important point of discussion,” he added, while other sources felt it could be the RCA issue that might cause a stir. “It’s still not clear who will represent the RCA. It’s possible that nobody will,” said a source.
“Going by logical lines, Rajendra Singh Rathore should represent RCA at the AGM,” said a former office-bearer of the state body.

As things stand, chances of the issue taking a legal turn are high. Both Dixit and Rathore are likely to turn up.
It seems as Manohar will have something other than the IMG issue to rule on once the AGM begins.
