India women’s cricket team continued their brilliant run in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 on Sunday as they crushed Pakistan by a massive margin of 95 runs. Ekta Bisht was the star of the match as she bagged a five-wicket haul to help India stamp their authority over Pakistan.

In a low-scoring contest at the County Ground in Derby, Team India looked in a perilous position when they failed to put enough runs on the board. Poonam Raut top scoring with a 72-ball 47 as the Indian women’s team crawled to 169 for 9 in their 50 overs.

In reply, Pakistani Women crumbled against the pressure built up by their opponents, as only two batters — Nahida Khan (23) and Sana Mir (29) — could score in double digits.

Pakistan Women were bowled out for just 74 in 38.1 overs, with Ekta claiming 5 for 18, Mansi Joshi bagging 2 for 9, whereas Jhulan Goswami, Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma snaffling a wicket each.

India‘s win over Pakistan on Sunday is their 10th head-to-head, whereas third straight win in World Cup history.
