Virat Kohli may have impressed everyone with his batting heroics, but former West Indies skipper Clive Llyod believes that his captaincy is still ‘a work in progress’. While talking about the Indian cricket team captain, Llyod said that Kohli has shown positive signs and he can use his aggression to become a better leader for the side.
“I think Virat is still a work in progress and it will take us some time to take a final call on his captaincy. But yes, he has shown positive signs. Yes, he is aggressive but as long as he doesn’t cross the line, it’s fine by me. Aggression, after all, is not a bad thing,” Clive Lloyd was quoted as saying by Times of India.

Clive Llyod is arguably one of the greatest captains of all time and he was a big reason behind West Indies’ dominance in the 1970s and 80s. The left-handed batsman led West Indies in 74 Tests and 84 ODIs and it was under his leadership that West Indies won the World Cup in 1975 and 1979.
Kohli has also been quite impressive so far as the India skipper with 21 wins and six losses from 36 matches. However, most of the wins came in the Indian subcontinent and although he won a Test series in West Indies, the right-hander will have to prove his acumen against stronger teams like Australia and England.
