Yuvraj breaks silence, says all is well

Yuvraj Singh has expressed his determination to fight his rare form of cancer and get back to playing. In his first public interaction, the player clarified a few things around his ailment and thanked millions of fans and dignitaries for their wishes.

Yuvraj Singh has expressed his determination to fight his rare form of cancer and get back to playing. In his first public interaction, the player clarified a few things around his ailment and thanked millions of fans and dignitaries for their wishes.

Tweeting extensively, the World Cup hero denied making any media comment since he began treatment for a malignant tumour on his lungs in Boston. "Just to clear I haven't given interview to any newspaper since I have come here, and will speak to media only when I come back. Thanks," Yuvraj tweeted.

Doctors have assured the player that he will be rid of the rare germ cell cancer and can get back to playing for India.The player defended his physiotherapist Jatin Chaudhary, who has faced allegations of being a 'fake doctor'. His father, former India pacer Yograj Singh had also said his son's treatment was delayed.

But Yuvraj tweeted: "I see a lot of peopl blaming jatin chaudhary but he is at no fault he only tried to help it was my decision to go with alternative medicine. "I'm recovering well yes its tough but tough times don't last tough men do! I will fight and come back as a stronger man cause I have the prayers of my nation!"
