The state unit chief of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manoj Tiwari on Saturday said that the municipal corporations of Delhi have taken major steps in improving civic services and providing relief to people from cumbersome procedures to get building plans and register property transactions in the city.
Tiwari, in the presence of the three mayors and other senior office-bearers of the south, east and north municipal corporations, said that the civic bodies are going to give residents the facility of mutation without visiting the corporation offices. “The corporations have decided to provide facility that allow mutation of property without visiting the corporations’ office. Currently, people have to apply for mutation to the house tax after sale/purchase of property. Now, all the three municipal corporations will provide facility to get online adhoc mutation done immediately after the sale/purchase is registered with the office of the sub-registrar,” said Tiwari.
The party also said listed out the measures taken by the civic bodies to simplify the procedure for getting building plans sanctioned. Tiwari said, Delhiites would soon be able to get the building plans of their houses, measuring between 105 square metre and 500 square metre, passed from the comfort of their homes.
“Now they can get the layout plans of their houses approved without visiting the corporation offices. All the corporations are going to start the facility of approval of the layout plans of residential buildings under Fast Track Approval Scheme through authorized architect engineers. This will benefit 90% of Delhi residents,” he said.
