Hussain to testify before magistrate

An application in this regard was moved before the special judge during in-camera proceedings. The application also indicates that Hussain, a resident of Kishtwar in Jammu

and Kashmir, is ready to accept that he sent the email a few hours after the September 7 blast.

The court kept the application pending and sent Hussain to judicial custody for two days.

The email was sent from the ID ‘harkatuljehadi2011 @gmail.com’ and demanded that death penalty awarded to Afzal Guru in Parliament attack case be ‘repealed’ immediately.

The investigators are certain that the draft of the email had been given to Hussain before the blast by another accused Amir Abbas Dev, who is also from Kishtwar. “The draft of the email was written on a paper and handed over to Hussain,” said an NIA official.

Doubts were also raised about Hussain’s age. But he told the court that he was not a juvenile as he was born in 1994 and that his official records did not carry his actual date of birth. According to sources, Hussain told the judge that he was not sure of the date and month of his birth.

His co-accused Dev’s police custody expires on Friday. The NIA will produce him and Hussain before the court on the same day.
