The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) busted a major racket running in the cargo area of Delhi airport.

The force responsible for the security of airport nabbed ground staff working at IGI Airport involved in the theft of mobile phones that arrived as cargo from Hong Kong and also recovered a large number of mobile phones and accessories.
According to a CISF official, a random checking of outgoing staff working at the airport was carried out on Monday night. “14 new Lava cell phones, 20 batteries, six chargers, five USB data cables and two headphones were found in the possession of driver Nitin Yadav of Cambata Aviation. Four Lava cell phones were found in possession of utility handler RS Rawat of Cambata Aviation. These cell phones and accessories were hidden under the clothes of the employees,” said Hemendra Kumar, CISF’s spokesperson.
Investigation revealed that the seized items were handed over to them by one tractor driver, an employee of the same company.
During inquiry, the tractor driver confessed that he picked up the carton carrying cell phone packets and he concealed it at the parking area. Then he kept that carton at an empty trolley with the intention to take out the cell phone as per his convenience.
