Has the defence minister acted too late by ordering a CBI probe after General Singh made his allegation public?

Should General Singh have come out with this revelation much earlier, instead of waiting for months?

As most of us feel that an offer of Rs14 crore as bribe to an army chief is criminal, some 70% people felt that General Singh should have come out in public much before instead of keeping it to himself and defence minister. However, 20% respondent felt otherwise, while 9% chose not to comment.
