    CBSE class 12th economics: What teachers said about the exam

    For Ms Oneeka Deep, PGT- Economics, VidyaGyan School, Bulandshahr, the paper was moderate on the difficulty level as well as was lengthy. Around 50 % of the paper was knowledge based. Few questions were based on application and critical thinking. To score well an in-depth knowledge of the subject was a must. The question paper was as per the syllabus and sample paper provided by CBSE.

    CBSE class 12th economics exam: Teachers reaction

    According to the Ms Sudeshna Bhattacharya, HOD Economics, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad said, the Economics Class XII exam paper was very easy. It did have one or two tricky and in-depth questions which could be answered by students who had prepared well for the exam. The 2 marker questions were quite direct. The 3 marker questions were text, numerical and application based, which required intensive writing. However, they did not require any diagrams anywhere. The 5 mark questions, one of which was a case-based question, were straight and easy to find answers to. The questions were easy to comprehend. Their language was easy though a bit lengthy. The paper required writing and attention till the last moment. Overall, the Economics exam was easy to crack. Students should score well.

    For Harshil Agarwal, the case study was tricky, rest of the paper was comparatively easier than expected. Priyanshi Praveen, a student said the paper was overall moderate. Both tricky and direct questions were there. The case study was quite difficult.

    Economics teacher at MPVM Ganga Gurukulam, Rupa Chakroborty, said that that question paper of 40 marks had 13 questions including 5 question of 2 marks, 5 question is of 3 marks and 3 questions of 5 marks each. “The paper was not divided into sections with no overall choice but there were internal choices. The paper was a well balanced one having a proper balance of HOTS (higher order thinking skills) and LOTS (lower order thinking skills) and was according to the pattern of the sample paper. The paper was well presented and according to the syllabus,” she said.
