Tiwari, while speaking to PTI, said there was no need for students and teacher recruitment aspirants to stage protests, pointing out that TRE-4 was announced in response to their demands.

He said, “We have already announced 32,388 seats for our candidates, and we will increase this count tomorrow. We will add more seats to TRE-4."

BPSC TRE 4 Notification 2026 released, registration begins on September 1 for 32,388 school teacher posts

The announcement comes amid demands from teacher recruitment aspirants for clarity on TRE-4 vacancies and the examination schedule.

Education Minister further added that the state government has already sent the requisition for TRE-4 to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), which will decide the examination schedule.

According to Tiwari, the BPSC follows its own established examination pattern and the Education Department has no role in deciding the exam dates. “The BPSC will announce the exam dates at any time,” he said.

The minister has also alleged that some groups and coaching centres were attempting to prevent the examination from being conducted or have the recruitment notification cancelled. He claimed that such efforts were aimed at misleading and inciting students.

BPSC TRE 4.0 notification was released in August. The registration process will begin on September 1, 2026. The last date to fill out the application form is September 30, 2026, and the last date to pay the fee is September 29, 2026.

The registration link will be available for candidates on the official website of BPSC at bpsc.bih.nic.in.

Candidates, upon recruitment, will receive a starting salary ranging from 25,000 per month for primary teachers to 32,000 per month for higher secondary teachers, complemented by applicable state government allowances.

All those aspirants who will appear for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 will be allowed to apply for this exam, provided they successfully qualify for the eligibility test before the final evaluation.

Meanwhile, the Bihar government plans to appoint 1 lakh school teachers over the next five years. The state government will recruit around 20000 teachers every year between 2026 and 2030. This step will be taken to address the shortfall in primary-to-higher-secondary schools.
