PSEB 12th Result 2020 LIVE Updates: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced the Class 12th exam result today. Around 2.9 lakh students of Punjab Board have taken the exam. PSEB will not issue merit list this year, due to Covid-19. The overall pass percent is 90.98 percent this year. Government schools have again outscored the Private schools for the second time consecutively. 94.32% govt school students and 91.84% of Affiliated schools students have passed the exam while 87.04% of associated school students have passed. Pass percentage of rural area is better at 93.39% as compared to urban areas at 91.96% in PSEB Class 12th exam 2020.265449 students appeared as regular candidates and 20229 students appeared in open category in class 12th exam. PSEB had conducted the class 12th exams in March 2020 for various streams including Medical, Non Medical, Commerce, Humanities and Vocational. Students of PSEB class 12th may get digital marksheet this year, just like class 10th students. HRD minister had asked the board to provide digital marksheet to class 10th students. JR Mehrok, controller examination, PSEB said, the result will be uploaded on the board’s website, pseb.ac.in and indiaresults.com on July 21. The Punjab board had to cancel some papers due to Covid-19 related lockdown that was imposed in March. PSEB 12th Result 2020: ‘Working tirelessly to uplift education standard’, says minister

 State school education minister Vijay Inder Singla said, “After the formation of government in Punjab, we are working tirelessly to uplift the standard of education under the able guidance of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Our efforts have started showing fruitful results as every year, we register growth in the pass percentage of board examinations.” He added that in 2017, the pass percentage of class +2 was below 63 percent which registered slight growth in 2018 by rising upto 65.97 percent. He said that last year in 2019 results, 86.41 percent students got passed which was notably higher than previous years.

PSEB 12th Result 2020: How to download digital marksheet

If the board issues digital marksheet, students will be able to download their marksheets through the digilocker app on Google Playstore. Students will be required to fill in their details and create an account on the app, following which a six-digit OTP would be sent to their mobile number. Students can then access their marksheets and even take a print out if required.
