TBSE result 2018: Gourab Deb tops Tripura Class 12 science exam with 96.6%

Gourab Deb of Agartala’s Netaji Subhash Vidya Niketan School bagged first position in Class 12 Science examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), the results of which was declared on Tuesday.

The pass percentage in the exam was 84.31%, bettering the previous year’s mark of 83.77%.

Gourab Deb scored 96.6% marks to finish at the top. Pranab Karmakar and Subhrajit Debnath secured the second and third positions with 93.4% and 93.2% marks.

Pranab was from Boys Bodhjung School and Subhrajit from Umakanta Academy in the state capital.

Exams began on March 8 and ended on April 13.

A total of 3027 candidates from Science stream had appeared in the exam of which 2552 passed, TBSE chief Mihir Kanti Deb told the media at Board office Tuesday morning.

“If candidates feel there is a need to review their answer papers, they need to submit their review forms to their respective schools by May 25 and the same should reach to the Board by May 29,” Deb said.
