Karnataka Election: Chincholi Assembly Constituency 2023

Chincholi is the assembly constituency which comes under the Gulbarga district. It is one of the 224 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Constituencies. Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 for Chincholi will be held on May 10 and the result was declared on May 13.

In 2018, the Chincholi assembly seat had 1,90,976 registered voters, 97,243 were male and 93,718 were female voters. 0.6% of voters opted for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election, there were 10 candidates in the fray from Chincholi constituency. Chincholi was one of 80 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Indian National Congress's Dr. Umesh G Jadhav won the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Sunil Y Vallyapure by a margin of 19,212 votes.

The top two candidates split 97.5% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Dr. Umesh G Jadhav got a total of 73,905 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Sunil Y Vallyapure secured 54,693 votes. Janata Dal (Secular)'s candidate Sushilabai B Korvi secured 1,621 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 56.0%, 41.5% and 1.2% respectively.

In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Indian National Congress's Dr Umesh G Jadav beat Karnataka Jantha Paksha's Sunil Vallyapur by 26,060 votes.
