Various pre-poll and post-poll surveys had predicted victory for the ruling alliance. Kerala CM Vijayan thanked the people of the state, saying, "Kerala has given a verdict in favor of the LDF. But this is not the time to celebrate with great joy as Covid-19 continues to spread in the state. This is the time to continue the fight against Covid-19."
