Indian National Congress's D.D. Thaisii won the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's R. Yuh Jonathan Tao by a margin of 4,293 votes.

The top three candidates split 70.8% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's D.D. Thaisii secured a total of 14,038 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's R.
