Manipur Election: Khangabok Assembly Constituency 2022

Khangabok is the assembly constituency which comes under the Thoubal district. It is one of the 60 Manipur Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Manipur Assembly Election 2022 for Khangabok will be held on March 3 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Khangabok assembly seat had 34,887 registered voters. Of the, 16,707 were male and 18,180 were female voters. 0.4% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In 2017, 3 candidates were competing for Khangabok assembly constituency seat. Khangabok was one of 28 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a one way contest with Indian National Congress's Surjakumar Okram comfortably winning the election defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Thokchom Jadumani Singh by a huge margin of 9,452 votes.

99.6% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. Indian National Congress's Surjakumar Okram got a total of 20,781 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Thokchom Jadumani Singh got 11,329 votes. National People's Party's candidate Haji Asraf Ali grabbed 116 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 64.5%, 35.2% and 0.4% respectively.

In Manipur Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Okram Landhoni Devi beat Manipur Peoples Party's Laishram Jatra Singh by 9,871 votes.
