Manipur Election: Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency 2022

Kshetrigao comes under the Imphal district and it is one of the 60 Manipur Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Kshetrigao voted for Manipur Assembly Election 2022 on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.

In Manipur Assembly Election 2017, there were 33,096 registered voters for Kshetrigao assembly seat, out of which 15,997 were male and 17,099 were female voters. 0.5% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In the Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Kshetrigao constituency had 7 candidates for assembly seat contention. Kshetrigao was one of 21 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Nahakpam Indrajit Singh winning the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Md. Amin Shah by a margin of just 380 votes.

The top three candidates split 98.4% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Nahakpam Indrajit Singh got a total of 10,411 votes, while Indian National Congress's Md. Amin Shah secured 10,031 votes. Manipur National Democratic Front's candidate Th. Nandakishor Singh grabbed the third spot with 9,190 votes. The top three parties got 34.6%, 33.3% and 30.5% respectively.

In Manipur Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Md. Amin Shah beat Nationalist Congress Party's Thangjam Nandakishor Singh by 2,994 votes.
