Manipur Election: Lilong Assembly Constituency 2022

What happened last time

In the Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Lilong constituency had 6 candidates for assembly seat contention. Lilong was one of 28 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a close contest with Indian National Congress's Muhammad Abdul Nasir winning the election upstaging independent candidate Y. Antas Khan by a margin of just 1,268 votes.

The top three candidates split 98.2% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Muhammad Abdul Nasir got a total of 10,765 votes, while independent candidate Y. Antas Khan secured 9,497 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Md. Anwar Hussain grabbed the third spot with 8,456 votes. The top three parties got 36.8%, 32.5% and 28.9% respectively.

In Manipur Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Md. Abdul Nasir outperformed independent candidate Md. Azizul Haque Khan by 3,957 votes.
