Uttar Pradesh Election: Babina Assembly Constituency 2022

Babina is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Jhansi district. People of Babina voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,23,428 registered voters for Babina assembly seat, out of which 1,75,139 were male and 1,48,289 were female voters. 0.6% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In 2017, 13 candidates were contesting for Babina assembly constituency seat. Babina was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajeev Singh "parichha" won the election by defeating Samajwadi Party's Yashpal Singh Yadav by a margin of 16,837 votes.

The top three candidates split 96.1% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajeev Singh "parichha" got a total of 96,713 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Yashpal Singh Yadav secured 79,876 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Krishna Pal Singh Rajpoot grabbed the third spot with 42,614 votes. The top three parties got 42.4%, 35.0% and 18.7% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Krishna Pal Singh Rajpoot defeated Samajwadi Party's Chandrapal Singh Yadav by 6,955 votes.
