Uttar Pradesh Election: Khurja Assembly Constituency 2022

Khurja is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Bulandshahar district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Khurja was held on February 10 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Khurja assembly seat had 3,61,742 registered voters. Of the, 1,93,398 were male and 1,68,344 were female voters. 0.5% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 8 candidates in the fray from Khurja constituency. Khurja was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Vijendra Singh comfortably winning the election upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Arjun Singh by a huge margin of 64,299 votes.

96.8% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Vijendra Singh grabbed a total of 1,19,493 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Arjun Singh got 55,194 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Banshi Singh bagged 53,084 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 50.8%, 23.5% and 22.6% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Banshi Singh Pahadiya defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Horam Singh by 37,304 votes.
