Uttar Pradesh Election: Mohammdi Assembly Constituency 2022

Mohammdi is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Kheri district. People of Mohammdi voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.

Mohammdi assembly constituency had 3,15,220 electors in 2017, out of which 1,71,318 were male voters and 1,43,902 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.7% votes.

What happened last time

In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 12 candidates in the fray from Mohammdi constituency. Mohammdi was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Lokendra Pratap Singh won the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Sanjay Sharma by a margin of 33,918 votes.

96.8% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Lokendra Pratap Singh grabbed a total of 93,000 votes, while Indian National Congress's Sanjay Sharma got 59,082 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Daud Ahmad bagged 57,902 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 42.9%, 27.2% and 26.7% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Awasthi Bala Prasad outperformed Samajwadi Party's Imran Ahamad by 11,344 votes.
