Noida is one of the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly seats and falls under the Gautam Buddha Nagar district. In the previous UP assembly election held in 2017, Bharatiya Janata Party's Pankaj Singh won from the assembly seat, with Samajwadi Party's Sunil Choudhary finishing second. From BJP this year, Pankaj Singh was in the fray against Samajwadi Party's Sunil Choudhary. Pankhuri Pathak, a legal advisor by the professor, contested on the Congress's ticket. Kripa Ram Sharma and Pankaj Avana also contested the elections on BSP and AAP's tickets respectively.

Ghaziabad Assembly seat comes under Ghaziabad district. In 2017, BJP's Atul Garg won by a margin of 70,505 votes. BSP's Suresh Bansal emerged as the runner-up. In this election as well, BJP fielded the incumbent Atul Garg, who is the minister of state in the Yogi Aditynath-led UP cabinet. Vishal Verma contested on the Samajwadi Party ticket and Sushant Goyal was in the fray from the Congress. The BSP fielded Krishan Kumar Shukla, who had recently switched over from the BJP.
