All India Trinamool Congress's Mamata Bhunia got a total of 1,13,603 votes, while Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Swapan Santra secured 84,864 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Dipak Kumar Pramanik secured 12,626 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 53.3%, 39.8% and 5.9% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Ajit Bhunia defeated Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Sunil Adhikari by 24,927 votes.
