Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Bhabani Prasad Ray grabbed 16,066 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 53.5%, 36.6% and 8.5% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Gulsan Mullick defeated All India Forward Bloc's Doli Roy by 12,118 votes.
