According to news reports yesterday, choreographer Sandip Soparrkar and wife, model Jesse Randhawa’s claims that they have been invited to the Buckingham Palace to perform at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding have been disputed by the press office at the British royal family’s residence.
The choreographer has been claiming for over four days that he’s suffering from a knee-injury that has restricted him from dancing at the grand reception of the most-talked-about wedding this year.
He had even decided to have a press conference to unveil the ‘invitation’ sent to him. At the time of going to press, Soparrkar’s SMS response, explaining the situation, said, “Been unwell, please speak to my media consultant.” When contacted, his media consultant said, “Sandip is extremely hurt and will revert as he gets revertal (sic) from London.”
Facts speak... In 2008, Soparrkar claimed that pop star Britney Spears was smitten by him, sparking rumours of a relationship. Later, he denied the claims and blamed it on Spears’ manager.
Last year, Soparrkar had claimed to teaching pop star Katy Perry and her then fiancé, comedian Russell Brand Bollywood dances for their nuptials in Jaipur. However, he was nowhere to be seen at the wedding or the reception.

He also claimed that Gwyneth Paltrow had emailed him, asking to intervene and sort out personal problems between singer Madonna and her then husband Guy Ritchie.
