Actor Khushi Kapoor received relief from the Delhi High Court on Wednesday after her sister, actor Janhvi Kapoor, approached the court in a similar case. The court has directed the removal of alleged obscene and pornographic content of Khushi from social media platforms, and has also ordered the takedown of content impugning her personality rights.
Khushi Kapoor receives relief from Delhi HC
According to ANI, Justice Jyoti Singh passed the directions while hearing Khushi’s suit seeking protection of her personality and publicity rights. The court indicated that it would pass a John Doe order in her favour in connection with her interim injunction plea. The order would provide protection against unidentified persons who are involved in the unauthorised use or exploitation of her identity. The HC directed the removal of alleged obscene and pornographic content of Khushi, and the takedown of content linked to the unauthorised sale of merchandise using her personality.
Janhvi Kapoor received similar relief
Just a day before this, on Tuesday, Janhvi had also received relief from the HC in a similar case. The court had passed a similar takedown direction on objectionable content and unauthorised exploitation of the actor’s personality. The court, however, refused to give a blanket injunction against fan pages. Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani heard the case and disagreed with the demand to remove fan pages. The court stated that fan sites can vary widely; some may praise an actor's work, while others may criticise it. “You don't want fans? It is the digital world. No comments, no URLs...You will find yourself living in a cave,” said the court.

Khushi, who debuted as Betty Cooper in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies for Netflix in 2023, debuted theatrically with the 2025 Love Today remake, Loveyapa. She also starred in the Netflix film Nadaaniyan the same year. Reports state that the actor will soon star in Mom 2. Janhvi starred in Homebound, Param Sundari and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari last year, and Peddi this year, her second Telugu film after Devara. She has Lag Ja Gale lined up.
