Mira Rajput, the wife of actor Shahid Kapoor, has talked about co-parenting their children Misha and Zain together. She said that while she was ‘more involved on a day-to-day basis’ with the kids initially, Shahid has been quite involved since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic as well.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput got married in 2015. They are parents to a four-year-old daughter Misha and a two-year-old son Zain.
In an interview with Kidsstoppress, Mira said that she and Shahid ‘used to’ fight about parenting duties but not anymore. “It used to happen. But I am so happy that both of us are in sync. Because I feel co-parenting is really important and it's absolutely essential to keeping yourself and your family happy and sane. Because once you become one, you are a parent till the rest of your life. It’s an endless job but you don’t need to make it endless without any breaks, and that’s where co-parenting really helps. And regardless of the amount of help that you may have, at the end of the day, as parents, you are the ones who structure the family, its dynamics, the values that you want to set in and that’s when I feel like Shahid and I are completely in sync with that.”
Mira said that she and Shahid have different strengths as parents, and specialise in handling different aspects of Misha and Zain’s lives. “He knows that I am more involved on a day-to-day basis but now even that has changed because actually even Shahid is very involved, even on a day-to-day basis. I think it’s great. During the pandemic, I hope that other fathers have realised what mothers ‘typically’ are supposed to be doing and sharing that load. That balance is good. I am good at one thing, he is good at another thing. Shahid is extremely patient, I am very meticulous. So I am damn good with their routines but he is amazing with meltdowns, so it helps,” she added.

{{/usCountry}}Shahid is gearing up for the release of Jersey, a remake of the Telugu film of the same name. It also stars his father Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur, and is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 5.
Meanwhile, Shahid is also set to make his digital debut with an Amazon Prime Video series directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, better known as Raj and DK. The show is said to be a quirky drama-thriller. In a statement, the actor said, “I loved the story idea when I first heard it and since then it has been an exciting ride so far! Can’t wait to share this series with the audience.”
