Saiyaara box office collection day 2: The Mohit Suri film has collected ₹48 crore by Saturday. It's a massive figure for a film starring two newcomers.

Saiyaara box office collection day 2: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's film has set the box office on fire. As per Sacnilk.com, the film is close to entering the ₹50 crore mark soon and trade expert Taran Adarsh has shared fresh data too.

Taran Adarsh tweeted that the movie as made ₹48.25 crore in two days. He wrote, "SENSATIONAL SATURDAY – 'SAIYAARA' BLOCKBUSTER TREND CONTINUES… After hitting it out of the park on Friday, #Saiyaara posted phenomenal numbers on Saturday… In fact, the numbers would've been even higher had it received a wider release. What #Saiyaara is achieving is both UNIMAGINABLE and UNPRECEDENTED… The film is in rampage mode – not just across metros, but also in Tier-2 and Tier-3 centres... Midnight shows are being added to meet the overwhelming demand.

Sunday is expected to surpass both Friday and Saturday... A ₹ 75 cr [+/-] weekend is very much on the cards – HISTORIC, especially for a film headlined by newcomers.

As per Sacnilk.com, on Friday, the film earned ₹21 crore. It collected ₹24 crore on Saturday as per early estimates. Saiyaara had an overall 51.24% Hindi occupancy on Saturday. With positive word of mouth and so much buzz about the film, Saiyaara is looking for a historic box office run during the first weekend.

Need some context? The film has already surpassed lifetime hauls of other GenZ/nepo kids debutants, Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan. The lifetime collection of their theatrical release Loveyaapa was ₹6.8 crore. It was released in February.

Rasha Thadani, the last nepo kid that audiences loved, also managed ₹6.5 crore lifetime haul for her debut vehicle, Azaad. Vedang Raina's Jigra did manage a better show, thanks to lead star Alia Bhatt's star power, at ₹30 crore after a three-week run.

Great show on opening day

Saiyaara collected ₹21.25 crore at the domestic box office on day one of it's theatrical release, the makers announced on Saturday.

The romantic drama, helmed by Mohit Suri and produced by YRF has garnered positive reviews from critics and audiences. It also stars Aneet Padda, who has acted in the web series Big Girls Don't Cry and the Kajol-starrer film Salaam Venky.

The film released in theatres on Friday.

"YRF & Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara has a historic opening for a debutant film with 21.25 crore in India on Day 1," the production banner said in a statement.

The makers said Saiyaara, which was released in 8,000 screens, is the biggest opening day release ever for a debutant-led film, career-best opening for director Suri, and the highest opening day for a love story.
