'They know Shah Rukh Khan': Anushka Sen talks about South Korean people being aware of Indian cinema, actors

Anushka Sen has shared that though South Korean people are not very much aware of Indian cinema and actors, they know Shah Rukh Khan.

Actor Anushka Sen, who recently travelled to South Korea for her debut Korean project, has spoken about how the people there don't know a lot about Indian cinema. In a new interview, Anushka revealed that South Korean people like actor Shah Rukh Khan. She also shared that the people know about some of the older Indian films.

Anushka Sen said that South Korean people know Shah Rukh Khan.

Anushka will feature in a Korean language web show as well as a movie, she told Hindustan Times earlier this year. She announced a partnership with a creative agency recently. Anushka will also host a show, Not Just A Chat Show.

In an interview with News18, Anushka spoke about the Korean people, "They watch a lot of different kinds of content. They have watched some Hindi films, but they don’t know much about it. They don’t know about our culture that much, unfortunately, and that’s why when I was in Korea, every meeting I was going to, I was telling them about my culture. Our culture, industry, and our films. They don’t know a lot about it. But they know some people like Shah Rukh Khan. Who doesn’t know Shah Rukh Khan? We all love him."

Anushka is known for portraying the role of Meher in the fantasy show, Baalveer. She also played Manikarnika Rao (Rani Lakshmi Bai) in the historical drama television series Jhansi Ki Rani. Last year, she was one of the contestants in the reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.
