Shah Rukh Khan was born in Delhi and started his acting career with the television series Fauji in the late 1980s. He made his debut in movies with Deewana in 1992. He made a mark on the Bollywood industry with blockbuster hits like Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Devdas, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Chak De! India, Chennai Express and Dear Zindagi.He was honoured with Padma Shri by the government of India. He has been the co-owner of IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders. He is married to Gauri Khan and founded Red Chillies Entertainment with her in 2002.

Cruise drug bust case: Sam D’souza withdraws petition seeking quashing of CBI FIR
Sanville D'souza, the fifth accused in the CBI FIR related to the alleged extortion demand of INR25 crore from Shah Rukh Khan, has withdrawn his petition seeking quashing of the FIR. D'souza, one of the witnesses in the Cordelia drug case, had sought interim protection at par with Sameer Wankhede, the former Mumbai zonal director of the Narcotics Control Bureau. The court refused to grant relief to D'souza, who is a private citizen. He is the third accused to approach the HC seeking interim protection from no coercive action by the CBI.
