Hollywood actor Gerard Butler was snapped locking lips with a street performer on a beach in Los Angeles. The

star spent much of Sunday day on LA's west side, attending a private Haiti benefit in Santa Monica before hitting Venice Beach with a couple of friends.
While heading back to his car at the end of the night, the 40-year-old actor stopped to chat with a woman who had recognized him while playing violin outside on the street.
After talking for a few moments only, the two began kissing each other, reported
People
magazine. But better sense prevailed as the Scottish actor left the place in a few minutes and returned home to his Los Feliz house alone.
Butler is set to star in
The Bounty Hunter
, due out in March. He costars with Jennifer Aniston, with whom he spent much of the Golden Globes weekend – but who wasn't spotted on the boardwalk this particular night.
