At a recent press conference, Aamir had spoken against the AIB roast featuring filmmaker Karan Johar and actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, calling it "violent". "I have just seen a few clips of it and some jokes which Karan (Johar) and Arjun (Kapoor) told me. I’ve heard about it from them. We have certain responsibility. I felt it was a very violent event. Sirf do joote marna violence nahi hota. Violence verbal bhi hota hai. I was deeply affected by it. I was most disappointed in what I was hearing," he said.
Aamir further added, "Even I made Delhi Belly which had lot of profanity, but it didn’t attack anyone on an emotional level... trying to impress people by using abusive language is pointless. I am no longer a 14-year-old who will hear abusive language and laugh."
