I was willing to go to any college as long as I got a hostel accommodation. My dad was in the army and had just been posted to Tezpur but I was adamant that I would study in Delhi. My mother, on the other hand, was determined that she would let me study in Delhi only if I got a hostel on campus.

I was ecstatic when I got the seat in Lady Irwin. What followed was fun. Hostel life included lots of visit to the Bengali Market in the evening. We had cold coffee and ate goodies at a bakery. I was involved in all college activities and thus became quite responsible even with finances.

I became the secretary in second year, when we organized a fashion show during the college fest and president in third year, when we had a rock concert for the first time on campus. I remember having a blast with my team. I am really glad I came here because not only did I have a rocking time, I also grew up as a person.
