Gwyneth Paltrow has admitted that her nine-year marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has not been a bed of roses.
"It's hard being married. You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We're the same as any couple," the Mirror quoted her as telling Glamour magazine.
The 40-year-old actress said that she once asked her dad, how did he and her mother stay married for 33 years. In reply, he said that they never wanted to get divorced at the same time.
She said that this is what she thinks happens, when two people throw in the towel at the same time, then they break up, but if only one person does, they carry on.
Paltrow said that the couple are good friends, who like to laugh and do the same stuff.
She asserted that she is a very grounded person and that the 36-year-old musician is a mad scientist, a genius songwriter.
She said that she never asks Martin, where he is and he should be home by now.
Paltrow added that she never put any demands on Martin as he is a really talented man and he?s putting something good into the world.
