The former Australian cricketer is said to be turning out for a local team, which is keen to persuade the leg spinner to sign up.

“It’s good news for cricket in the area,” the Daily Express quoted Jim Sandford, chairman at Eastnor Cricket Club, as saying.

“It would be marvellous if Shane turned up. I think he would get a game with us,” he said.
