The wedding of Shivraj Singh, son of former Jodhpur King Gaj Singh, and Gayatri Kumari, princess of Askot (Uttarakhand), is likely to be held on November 18 this year.
While refusing to divulge the date of the wedding, Vikas Chouhan, PRO of Umaid Bhawan Palace, said preparations were on in full swing and the royal family was very happy about the upcoming wedding.
He said royals from other states and countries and polo players are expected to attend the high-profile marriage. Shivraj Singh himself used to be a keen polo player before his accident in 2003.
Buzz is that Gaj Singh will leave for Britain and the US to personally invite celebrities like Richard Gere, Peter O'Toole, Madonna, Kate Winslet, Liz Hurley and Arun Nayyar. Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker may also attend the high-profile wedding. Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kabir Bedi and John Abraham are likely to attend the wedding.
