John Abraham is one biker who not only loves to ride, but also his vehicles equally. And it should some calibre run away with his motorbike. Want to know who did that? "Mahi just ran away with my bike in Mumbai as I kept waiting for him," says the actor about none other than cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. And he adds, "But it’s very easy to give Mahi a gift. All you need is a helmet — he has 29 bikes after all."
In the Capital for Yamaha, John couldn’t contain his excitement to meet Valentino Rossi as he spoke to HT City. “Oh, I’m very excited to meet him,” he says. And John is well prepared too — he is sporting the special Valentino Rossi limited edition watch these days. “Bipasha gifted me this one,” he says, showing the prized possession. And is Bips comfortable riding with him now? “Well, she is, but on certain bikes,” says the Dhoom-actor. “She particularly likes the V-Max.” John was the first recipient of this Rs 20 lakh-superbike in India.
Though John believes that “biking culture” in India is growing, he agrees that Bollywood is yet come of age when it comes to dealing with bikes and car on screen. But Dhoom, nonetheless, he feels, started the trend. “It atleast got people excited, it was a starting point,” says the actor, who will soon be seen on a bike again in a Nishikanth Kamat film. “That will have a lot of action,” John assures.
