If you’re a fan of stripes (who isn’t?) but have been on the hunt for different ways to wear them, look no further. Ahead, see all the ways Deepika Padukone has been nailing it in stripes.

Deepika Padukone showed up at a dinner with friends in Mumbai on Friday in a must-have striped shirtdress ( ₹9,100) from Spanish label Loewe, and we couldn’t adore the choice more. Notice the beautifully dizzying mixed print, strategic leg slit, an asymmetric wing collar and waist-emphasising bow detail — this Deepika dress has all the makings of an undeniably figure-flattering frock.

While the fashion-forward actor opted to dress down the long-sleeved asymmetrical dress with sport white Nike sneakers and a brown Saint Laurent handbag, we can also envision this piece dressed up with strappy black heels to push the dress from beautiful to OMG level.

There’s no denying stripes will always be a style staple, they’re just classic like that. But, sometimes (and just sometimes), they can get a tad mundane. Vertical or horizontal tees — what else is there? Well, allow us to step in because believe it or not, Deepika has taught us that there’s actually myriad (thoroughly modern) ways to rock stripes that are anything but basic.
