Taking cue from Sonam and Kareena Kapoor, who paired high-neck blouses with their saris at recent events, the trend seems hot right now.

Designer Anju Modi, who last year, showcased a couture ­collection which saw a lot of high necklines, says,“If you want to show off skin, there are a lot of ways to do it rather than going the cleavage way.

Sonam and Deepika have long, beautiful necks which they highlight with closed necklines, flaunting the rest of their body with off shoulder or a one-shoulder look. The Victorian-influenced high-neck style brings together the ethnic flavour with western sensibilities.”
