Since we love her style so much, in honour of her 27th birthday, we asked one die-hard Anushka fan, 16-year-old Avantika Pathania, to take a fun and fanzy approach to dressing our birthday girl. Remember, it's her birthday, so this one's a doozy.

Since her debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008, Anushka Sharma has transformed from sweet Bengaluru beauty into bad-girl extraordinaire – have you seen her in NH10?

Anushka has been a busy, busy girl — pursuing her acting career, turning film producer (that's pretty gutsy for an actor her age in an industry that's running scared), enjoying IPL matches (we can actually hear Anushka’s critics rolling their eyes) and hanging with the coolest celebs in showbiz (Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, we're looking at you).

Everybody now: We’ve got some ideas.

We don’t even know what’s left for her to wish for when she blows out her candles, but because Anushka is kind of a big deal – you know, she's a national obsession (we’ll cheers to that!), we want to make her feel like the only girl in the world on her big day!

And, it might not be the coolest thing, but it’s not exactly controversial to love this kitsch-loving beauty-queen-turned-actor-turned-producer, renowned for her uniquely experimental style, and her enviably toned body. Oh, and Anushka, if you’re reading this, you better sit down for it: We went a little outside the box and did not shy away from experimenting with colour and quirky styling (clearly!) and even designed an Afro-meets-Mexicana jumpsuit and a print-on-print lehenga-dress. Enjoy!
