Salon Du Chocolat festival is a fashion event with a difference. The annual gala in Paris made wearable chocolate (we’re not totally clear on the science/germ factor behind wearing chocolate and how it would not melt upon bodily contact, or even if it’s edible) a thing.
The festival- with over 500 participants from more than 60 countries - featured a fashion show that paired chocolatiers with fashion designers to create couture dresses. The pieces were on display at an exhibition in the city of lights, between October 28 and November 1.
The garments were nothing short of incredible. Although, the fashions weren’t entirely made out of chocolate - they just featured it heavily, and the overall aesthetic for each was inspired by chocolate.
