It was a show made of starry presence, as actor Kangana Ranaut walked for designer Namrata Joshipura for the grand finale of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Autumn/Winter 2014. The 28-year-old actor made for a striking picture as she took over the ramp in a long black dress.
However, she was visibly struggling with the long trail of her dress, and even tripped on the ramp a couple of times. At one point, she even mouthed a 'sorry' as she tried to walk down the runway without letting her dress fiddle with her heels. Post the show, Kangana looked visibly upset and said, "Having a trail in your dress is tricky business. I feel like I have let Namrata down, and everyone else down too. I am really sorry."

However, Namrata was unfazed by the on-ramp routine gone wrong, "It does not matter at all. Stuff happens, and it’s okay. Kangana is larger than all these trivial things."
And other designers echo her views. "We all trip in life! I don’t think Kangana’s struggle with the trail took away from the show. She’s human after all, so I think it’s insignificant in the larger context," said Pankaj Ahuja of designer duo Pankaj-Nidhi. Designer Masaba Gupta agrees, "She’s an actor, not a model. People might judge her because she couldn’t model, but, not like everyone can act either!"
