For the next four days, we will showcase couture collections of leading Indian fashion designers, handpicked by them for this wedding season. We have also put together expert styling and makeup tips for you to blend traditional wear with modern, global aesthetics, ensuring that your style looks more ‘you’ and stands out in a sea of blinged out lehengas and gowns.
Our opening designer of HT City Print Fashion week is Bollywood’s favourite couturier Manish Malhotra. He presents his imaginative, modern take on traditional Indian craftsmanship, perfect for fashion renegades who live by their own fashion rules. From dramatic lehengas teamed with modern blouses to light-hearted tunics and reinvented saris, the collection is avant-garde and freewheeling, but with a traditional soul. “The collection reinvents Indian couture, celebrating old world art and craft to form luxurious garments that imbibe ancestral trends with Persian influences, mixed with global fashion trends,” says Malhotra.
