Are you frustrated with your job or just have a tendency to Hulk out at almost every chance you get? Well, there is finally a place in the city where you can channel your anger and smash almost every inanimate object around you.
Called, Breakroom, this concept is the brainchild of Sanwari Gupta and is inspired from the Anger Room in Dallas, Texas. “Me and my partner heard about this concept of an Anger Room that had come up in Texas and thought about bringing it to Delhi. It is a fresh concept for the city and has surprisingly proven to be something that not only captures interest, lets you vent your anger and proves to be therapeutic at the same time,’’ she says. The minimum price here is Rs 199 and can go up to about a thousand rupees (depending on what you choose to smash, which includes microwaves, TVs, crockery and more.
Unlike what most people would believe, all the items available here are mostly junk and are not in a condition to be used. The objects broken or damaged are also later sent for recycling, thus resulting in zero wastage of resources. To go for this cathartic smashing, (which is in Sector 29, Gurgaon) , all you need is to be over 18 years of age, provide an ID proof and sign a simple waiver. You are provided a protective suit, gloves, a helmet and of course your weapon of destruction — a sturdy steel rod. We tried the room out for ourselves, smashed a TV to smithereens and definitely came out feeling just a little more calm.
