NorthEast United FC were denied their second win of the season when they took on Mumbai City FC at Guwahati in the Indian Super League. Indian striker Balwant Singh scored either side of half-time to give Mumbai their third win of the ISL. This victory saw them go up to fourth in the league table standings, ahead of Maharashtra rivals Pune. NorthEast United struggled to create many chances and whilst Mumbai weren’t dominating proceedings, they were clinical when it mattered the most.
