A new international trailer for Taken 2, the sequel to the 2008 thriller about a retired CIA agent, finds Liam Neeson returning as Bryan Mills.

In the first film, Bryan rescued his daughter from kidnappers ready to sell her into prostitution.

This time, while his family vacations in Istanbul, they're taken off guard by a surviving kidnapper out for revenge, taking Bryan and his wife hostage.

In this latest in a string of action films starring Neeson, his character enlists his daughter into an escape plan, and more mayhem ensues as he employs his special forces skills to save his family and eliminate the bad guys.

Costars are Maggie Grace (The Twilight Saga, Knight & Day) as his daughter and Famke Janssen as his wife, reprising their roles, and the film is written by Luc Beeson and directed by Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3).

Taken 2 opens on October 3-5 in several European markets including France, Italy and the UK, as well as Australia, Hong Kong and North America, followed by Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil and South Africa.
