Music composer Shrikanth Sriram, popularly known as Shri, recently wowed audiences at Bacardi NH7 Weekender at Pune, playing his handcrafted customised bass. Renowned for adding a folk touch to his electronica-heavy tracks, the Brit-Asian musician is also composing the theme track for Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ang Lee’s Life Of Pi.

Life of Pi

The movie, starring Tabu and Irrfan, will hit theatres on November 21.

Meanwhile, the multi-instrumentalist is also busy with his project ShriLektric, that draws upon cross-cultural musical influences for its compositions. “I am also working on a bunch of songs with some cool collaborators in India. There are a couple of Bollywood films also in the pipeline,” he says.
